SHOOK Research considered women advisors with a child 21 or younger still living at home. The ranking algorithm is based on qualitative measures derived from telephone and in-person interviews and surveys: service models, investing process, client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations, etc.; and quantitative criteria, such as assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criterion because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and advisors rarely have audited performance reports. Rankings are based on the opinions of SHOOK Research, LLC. Neither SHOOK nor Working Mother receives compensation from the advisors or their firms in exchange for placement on a ranking. Justin Mishacoff

Justin Mishacoff

Principal

Ask Justin Mishacoff what originally stirred his interest in the financial services industry and this “numbers guy” will tell you he has always loved investments. With his economics degree in hand, Justin started working for a financial firm after graduating from college. In 2000, he joined Wells Fargo Advisors, serving in various service, sales, and management roles. But it was several years later when Justin became a Financial Advisor that he realized his true passion.

“I like working with investments, but what I really love is being able to structure investments to help meet the needs of the amazing clients I serve. I love seeing the impact I can have on their lives by helping them build, manage, protect, and transition their wealth.”

In 2022, after working for Wells Fargo Advisors for more than 20 years, Justin decided to take a leap of faith and help establish Lumitas Wealth Strategies, an independent financial advisory firm. “We are more than advisors to our clients because we genuinely care about the amazing people we serve. I love getting to know our clients and watching them check off their major life goals such as buying vacation homes, comfortably retiring with confidence, and more.”

Justin serves as a fierce advocate for his clients. He is a good listener who develops an intimate understanding of his clients’ deeply held values, passions, concerns, and dreams. This allows him to build a plan around each client’s specific situation. Justin enjoys being by their side as they celebrate successes like sending loved ones to college, purchasing second properties, and enjoying the retirement lifestyle they envisioned. He offers specialized knowledge and skills in asset management and retirement planning for individuals and business owners.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, Justin earned his bachelor's degree in economics. He holds his Series 9 and 10 FINRA securities registrations and is insurance licensed in MN, WI, FL, SC, and OR. Justin has earned the Five Star Wealth Manager award for five consecutive years, between 2018 and 2022.

He and his wife, Natascha, live in Woodbury, with their son, Brayden, and twin daughters, Isabella and Olivia. Outside of work, you’ll find Justin at the hockey rink, cheering on all three children. He also enjoys golfing, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with his family at their cabin on Red Cedar Lake in Northern Wisconsin.

Colleen Hartmon Bollom, CFP®

Principal

Colleen Hartmon Bollom always realized that she enjoyed working with numbers, but that wasn’t the driving factor that encouraged her to become a financial advisor. Yes, she can do the math, but her care for her clients runs deeper because she truly wants to help clients protect and pursue what matters most to them. She believes people can benefit from guidance in a world of robo-advice and investment blogs that are not customized to their needs.

Colleen serves as an advocate for her clients, giving them a voice in the process so they feel empowered to pursue their financial goals today and in the future.

“There is nothing more gratifying to me than the ‘ah-ha’ moment when clients fully understand their financial choices. That’s why I strive to engage them as integral partners in preparing for a sound financial future.”

In a world full of confusion and noise, Colleen’s clients look to her to help navigate the waters because she cares, can be trusted, and holds herself to a high standard. “I strive to be a good listener, so I can hear in their own words what is important in their lives. Like most things involving money, it is often so much more than ‘just a number’ or the dollar amount someone needs to retire.”

Before joining the Lumitas Wealth Strategies team in 2022, Colleen co-founded Harmon & Hartmon Financial Group in 2007. Together with Linda Harmon, the two desired an approach to working with clients that benefits not just their investment portfolio but their life.

Before 2007, Colleen worked at Piper Jaffray, US Bank, and UBS Financial Services for more than a decade. During that time, she founded Minnesota Firefighter Pension Consultants, LLC, a company that provided retirement plan documents, bylaws, consulting, and training for her Minnesota Volunteer Fire Relief Associations clients.

It has always been important to Colleen to invest in her community. Her involvement includes the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence, Hill-Murray School, Stout University Foundation, YMCA Midway, Children’s Home Society of MN/Lutheran Social Services, Basilica of Sant Mary, Midway Chamber of Commerce, and the League of Women Voters of St. Paul.

Colleen earned a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) professional and investment consultant. Colleen was honored in 2012 with the Faye Lyksett Award from the St. Paul League of Women Voters.

2012 Faye Lyksett Award from the St. Paul League of Women Voters. The award was created to recognize a member who has demonstrated Service to the League program, purpose, organization and membership, Length of service, Diversification of Activity, Responsiveness to assist where needed, Public relations within the community and not specific to financial services and does not imply an endorsement, recommendation, or reflect the performance of the advisor. Colleen’s extensive global travels have included Nepal, where she serves as a friend and benefactor of The Inspiration Society of Nepal orphanage. Colleen's family has also participated in several cultural exchange programs for international students and guests from Chile, the Republic of Georgia, Nepal, Pakistan, Ukraine, and Zimbabwe.
